Academic publisher SAGE has announced the launch of a new journal, Public Relations Inquiry (PRI). Scheduled for launch in January 2012, PRI will be an international, peer-reviewed forum for conceptual, reflexive and critical discussion on public relations.
The journal, to be published three times a year, aims to stimulate new research agendas in the field of public relations through multidisciplinary engagement and encompasses a broad range of theoretical, empirical and methodological issues in public and organisational communications in diverse cultural contexts.
The journal mobilises research that speaks to a range of scholars in diverse fields and will welcome submissions from public relations, media, communications and cultural studies, anthropology, political communication, sociology, political science, strategic studies, law, organisational studies, management and marketing.
Public relations issues arise from a variety of contemporary issues and contexts and areas of debate in Public Relations Inquiry will include a wide range of topics including globalisation, politics, and public relations in international communication; diversity, migration and cultural impacts of PR and the history and politics of PR as a discipline.
