Sage publishes business and management textbook focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion -

Sage, an independent academic publisher, has released a new textbook in collaboration with the Chartered Association of Business Schools, designed to address diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) through the lens of business and management. Titled Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Business and Management, the textbook brings together contributions from over 20 academic and subject experts.

The resource is intended to support students preparing for leadership roles by providing a foundation in DEI strategy and its application across core areas of business. The textbook includes chapters on inclusive leadership, organisational behaviour, marketing, innovation, human resources, finance, and supply chain management.

In addition to discipline-specific coverage, the textbook incorporates global case studies that illustrate practical implementations of DEI, alongside reflective tools and exercises that enable students to connect theory with real-world application. It also introduces perspectives on topics such as international business, technological inclusivity, and the economics of inequality.

The publication is released in a context where institutional DEI efforts in higher education continue to encounter scrutiny. The textbook seeks to encourage critical engagement with systemic structures in business environments and provide practical tools for advancing inclusive leadership and organisational practice.

The Chartered Association of Business Schools supported the initiative as part of its ongoing focus on embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion in academic and professional environments across the business education sector.
