Academic publisher SAGE Publishing and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society have announced the launch of Foot & Ankle Orthopaedics (FAO), an open access journal dedicated to the care and treatment of patients with orthopaedic foot and ankle conditions. FAO is the society's second publication, joining its flagship journal Foot & Ankle International (FAI).
FAO emphasizes foot and ankle trauma, sports-related conditions, reconstructive techniques, and how new technology can address these issues. This journal is designed to be a resource for orthopaedic surgeons, fellows, residents, and allied health providers.
The journal publishes peer-reviewed original and clinical research articles, meta-analyses, systematic and topical reviews, case reviews, hot topics, research designs, and technique tips.
