SAGE Publishing launches new OA journal publishing research pertaining to rheumatic diseases and their treatment -

Academic publisher SAGE Publishing has announced the launch of Rheumatology Practice and Research, a peer-reviewed, open access journal publishing research pertaining to rheumatic diseases and their treatment.

Rheumatology Practice and Research provides a unique forum for the dissemination of high quality content applicable to researchers, clinicians and allied health practitioners, patients and scientists. The journal aims to provide easily accessible content that is freely available for those involved, and interested more generally, in the field of rheumatic disease and treatment.

Focusing on research that relates to immunology, musculoskeletal medicine general internal medicine and primary care, Rheumatology Practice and Research also encourages articles related to therapeutic advances in rheumatology.

The journal includes sections on "Best practice in rheumatic disease management: the perspective from other specialties" and "Perspectives aimed at patients". These look at management of rheumatic disease, and include insight from other specialties, to make Rheumatology Practice and Research an important resource for the rheumatic disease community.

The journal is headed by Editor-in-Chief Chak Sing Lau and supported by an expert Editorial Board, including Regional Editors Chris Edwards and Robert Fox.
