Academic publisher SAGE Publishing has announced the launch of SAGE vantage, a digital course platform for instructors and students designed to enable time-effective and evidence-based teaching, engaged learning, and critical thinking. The platform offers instructors a three-step course set up, auto-grading, integration into institutional learning management systems (LMS) through single sign-on, and more.
Vantage assists students in their understanding of course materials through knowledge checks, interactive multimedia activities, and chapter tests with personalised and directional feedback. The launch of Vantage supports SAGE’s commitment to championing affordability and choice for students and high quality content in a variety of formats to aid all types of learners.
SAGE vantage features instructor control over assignments, content selection, due dates, and grading; a digital reading experience that presents content in easy-to-digest segments and features note-taking, highlighting, key term definition look-up, and more; auto-graded assignments including knowledge checks for each major section of the text, video and multimedia activities that tie in real-world examples, chapter tests that reinforce important themes, and hints and student feedback for all assignments; polling questions; instructor reports which track student activity and provide analytics to better adapt instruction; a student dashboard with easy access to course progress and grades; and mobile, tablet, and desktop accessibility.
SAGE titles in political science, criminal justice and criminology, sociology, and psychology are currently available with Vantage, with more titles and disciplines coming soon.
