Academic publisher SAGE has announced that it will publish HAND, a multidisciplinary journal that specialises in the research and medical management and surgical management of the hand, wrist, and upper extremity. The official journal of the American Association for Hand Surgery, SAGE will begin publishing HAND in 2016.
Launched in 2006, HAND is an international resource for healthcare providers and researchers seeking to manage hand-related injuries and diseases. Published quarterly, the journal disseminates research on studying or treating the hand within surgical, medical, and therapeutic contexts.
Founded in 1970, the American Association for Hand Surgery comprises over 1,200 professionals in the areas of hand surgery and hand therapy. Devoted to global upper extremity health and education, the Association and its endowment support international outreach missions which foster hand health and promote upper extremity education. Additionally, the Association hosts webinars and an annual conference to support advancements in the knowledge and practices of hand care.
