SAGE to publish The British Journal of Occupational Therapy -

Academic and professional publisher SAGE has announced that as of January 2015 it will be publishing one of the foremost occupational therapy journals, The British Journal of Occupational Therapy (BJOT).

Previously self published, The British Journal of Occupational Therapy is the official research journal of the College of Occupational Therapists; the only professional body for occupational therapists in the UK, with a membership of nearly 30,000. With the publication of research on the effectiveness, benefits, and value of occupational therapy, the journal seeks to disseminate international articles relevant to theory, practice, research, education, and management in occupational therapy.

A monthly peer-reviewed publication, with a current impact factor of 1.096, it is read by occupational therapists, service users and key stakeholders, all seeking evidence-based research to help them make more informed decisions. BJOT publishes research articles, critical reviews, practice analysis, opinion pieces, editorials, letters to the editor, and book reviews. In addition, a guest-edited special issue on a topical theme is published annually. The journal aims to be the publication of choice for people to access, disseminate, and guide the implementation of occupational therapy knowledge and evidence worldwide.
