The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), publisher of the Science family of journals, and Morressier, the virtual conference provider and platform for early-stage research, have announced the launch of the Science Partner Conference (SPC) program. The new program accompanies AAAS’ Science Partner Journal (SPJ) program and provides carefully selected societies with a suite of services to host impactful academic conferences in physical, virtual, and hybrid formats.
Conferences play an essential role in the scientific ecosystem as the place where research findings are first shared, long before article publication. However, conference content is traditionally kept offline and hidden from the wider scholarly world, slowing down scientific progress. Through this new partnership, Science/AAAS and Morressier will provide select societies with the tools to uncover and elevate critical research and give delegates a superior meeting experience.
Guided by a common set of quality standards, streamlined processes, and shared look and feel, the SPC program brings together an ecosystem of reliable services to support all aspects of physical, virtual, and hybrid meetings – from strategy and planning to research dissemination. Participating societies benefit from Morressier’s conference tool suite and publishing platform. By increasing the accessibility of conference content, the newly launched SPC program perfectly aligns with the goal of the SPJ program to communicate science broadly and for the benefit of all people.
