Scopus introduces new features to improve research productivity -

Abstracting and indexing database Scopus, part of STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced that it has added new features to further improve research productivity and support the researchers' workflow. These enhancements seek to help researchers overcome challenges such as identifying all information relevant to their research, completing their most common tasks efficiently, evaluating research output, measuring performance and monitoring trends.

The new features include the ability to search for and browse through relevant content derived from cited references; additional and flexible clustering categories in the 'Refine Results' feature; the inclusion of pre-published journal articles across all subject areas - a first for any multidisciplinary abstract & citation database; and extension of the self-citation exclusion options within the Scopus Citation Tracker.

Scopus is one of the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature and quality web sources with smart tools to track, analyse and visualise research. Designed and developed with over 500 users and librarians internationally, this unique database contains abstracts and references from over 15,000 peer reviewed journals from 4,000 publishers worldwide. In addition, Scopus not only offers users citation information about the articles covered, but also integrates web and patent searches directly from its clean and simple interface.
