The American Society of Nephrology (ASN) has enlisted Dartmouth Journal Services (DJS) and The Sheridan Technology Lab to develop a full-text journal application for its publication Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology (CJASN). Built for Apple and Android platforms, it launches in September 2012.
The CJASN app, which is available free of charge, will allow readers to keep up-to-date with the latest research and commentary published monthly in CJASN.
Among the app's features is immediate access to publish-ahead-of-print (CJASN ePress) abstracts and full text articles, complete with images and tables. Users can view, bookmark, and download articles as well as search full-text content. Article share is also available through email, Facebook, and Twitter – users can follow the latest information about ASN through fully integrated Facebook and Twitter feeds.
In November 2011, Sheridan also developed and launched a full-text app for ASN publication Journal of The American Society of Nephrology, titled JASN.
