The Academy of Management has selected Dartmouth Journal Services and the Sheridan Technology Lab to develop a multi-journal app. Scheduled for release in mid-July, the app is branded as AOM Pubs. Journal titles accessible in this app include the Academy of Management Journal (AMJ), Academy of Management Review (AMR), Academy of Management Learning & Education (AMLE), and Academy of Management Perspectives (AMP).
The app is available for both the iPhone and iPad. It offers complete access of full-text articles to AOM members. Non-members can access the abstracts, and will also be able to access special free content for a period of 90 days after the release.
The app permits users to download, view, save, and search full-text articles; and even publish-ahead-of-print content. Users can access supplemental material, high resolution images, video, listen to podcasts and newsfeeds, and bookmark content. They may also receive instant alerts for new content, and read and share content through email, Facebook, and Twitter. User-configurable offline content caching – A Sheridan exclusive – offers access to full-text articles, figures, and tables anytime, anywhere, without a network connection.
Through its scholarly journals, The Academy of Management is committed to advancing theory, research, education, and practice in the field of management. AMR provides a forum to explicate theoretical insights and developments. Articles published in AMJ empirically examine theory-based knowledge. AMLE provides a forum to examine learning processes and management education. AMP features important issues concerning management and business.
