Sigma-Aldrich unveils new search engine for peer-reviewed literature, biological pathway data and technology queries -

Life Science and High Technology company Sigma-Aldrich Corporation, US, has announced the launch of a novel scientific search engine designed to give researchers easier access to peer-reviewed articles and abstract information on the Company's website, sigma-aldrich.com. The new search engine allows scientists to immediately read the full text of millions of peer-reviewed papers without extra clicks or logins, discover applications for specific Sigma-Aldrich products in peer-reviewed literature, and provides free access to the Ingenuity gene and biological pathway database.

The access to full-text papers is powered by technology from Pubget, a solutions provider focused on expediting the acquisition and analysis of content. Searches can be initiated from the main search bar on the Sigma-Aldrich website.

The biological search is powered by the Ingenuity Systems Platform using Target Explorer web services. Target Explorer furnishes unique biological content that is up-to-date, comprehensive and relevant to searches conducted by scientists through the Sigma-Aldrich website.
