The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the trade association for the software and digital information industries, has announced its third annual Global Information Industry Summit. The event, scheduled for September 9-11, 2008, will have industry executives gathering at the Royal Garden Hotel, London, to discuss new information industry opportunities, challenges and cutting-edge solutions.
The summit will address a variety of critical topics and issues, including the copyright challenges of user-generated content; the emerging content markets in India, China and Eastern Europe; developing digital brand identity; and how publishers are adapting their products as the Google Generation enters the workforce. The conference will feature panel discussions and presentations by industry experts to help executives understand and approach trends and changes affecting innovative and emerging content, content technology, software, and social media companies.
The Content Division of the SIIA provides a forum for companies that are in the business of publishing and distributing online content, or offer technologies and services that facilitate the distribution of information products. With the leadership of the Content Board, the division works to develop effective approaches to emerging issues and to produce deliverables of special interest to members of the division.
