Library technology solutions provider SirsiDynix, US, has announced that customer training will now be available through SirsiDynix Mentor, an online learning management tool for the benefit of customer libraries and their staff. The tool will help library managers and staff access, track, and report on training services provided by the company.
Through SirsiDynix Mentor, library managers can assign learning activities based on a learner’s job responsibilities and track individual progress or course progress. Library staff can take their assigned training, print certificates of completion, and view their learning transcript, which can document training outside of the SirsiDynix course catalogue.
SirsiDynix offers training on a wide variety of products, topics and technical levels. Currently, there are close to 100 eLearning courses available on core technology fundamentals and product updates and changes. Through Mentor, users can also locate live, interactive instructor-led courses that are scheduled throughout the year. SirsiDynix also offers custom onsite and hands-on group or private distance training courses, which can be tracked through Mentor.
