Library automation solutions provider SirsiDynix, US, recently announced the appointment of Mike Zackrison as the new vice president for product management.
Zackrison brings a strong background in product management and marketing leadership to his new role at SirsiDynix. Having spent more than a decade working on major academic software systems - learning management systems (LMS), student information systems (SIS), enterprise portal and content management systems - he understands the needs and collaborative nature of the knowledge enterprise.
Prior to joining SirsiDynix, Zackrison worked on behalf of University of Southern California as lead product manager for the Kuali Student software project. Prior to that, he served as vice president of marketing and strategy at rSmart, leading marketing and product management for the education-developed open source application company. In addition, he has experience in product management, strategic planning, and sales and marketing at technology companies such as Ingenix (a division of United HealthGroup), TenFold, and U.S. Robotics Corp. (acquired by 3Com).
