SirsiDynix opens new SaaS hosting facility -

Library technology solutions provider SirsiDynix, US, has announced the opening of its new software-as-a-service (SaaS) hosting facility for libraries in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

The new SirsiDynix SaaS facility is offered in partnership with IBM, which has a proven track record as one of the largest data centre providers in Europe. IBM's new data centre covers 10,000 square feet in its first phase, with plans in place to encompass a total capacity of 30,000 square feet.

SirsiDynix provides libraries with the software and services that are critical to managing their operations. In concert with key industry partners, SirsiDynix supports libraries by offering a comprehensive integrated suite of technology solutions for improving the internal productivity and enhancing their capabilities for meeting the needs of people and communities. It has about 4,000 library and consortia clients, serving more than 300 million people via over 20,000 library outlets in the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
