The Austrian Academy of Sciences Press (AASP), in collaboration with SKINnovations-ÖGDV GmbH a subsidiary of the Austrian Society of Dermatology and Venereology has launched SKINdeep, a new international open-access journal focused on translational dermatology, clinical research, and related fields. The journal's inaugural articles are now accessible on its official website.
Published on the ARPHA platform operated by Pensoft, SKINdeep is designed to feature original research, critical reviews, and perspectives on the underlying mechanisms of skin diseases and their therapeutic implications. The journal is overseen by three Editors-in-Chief: Peter Wolf (Medical University of Graz), Johann W. Bauer (Paracelsus Medical University, Salzburg), and Georg Stingl (Medical University of Vienna).
The editorial team comprises deputy and associate editors, along with international expert advisors, drawn from Austria and beyond. The structure is intended to uphold high scientific standards and enable rapid publication, either of standalone manuscripts or thematically grouped contributions.
By publishing with ARPHA, SKINdeep will access an integrated suite of services that manage the complete publication lifecycle—from manuscript submission to article publication, indexation, distribution, and archiving. This model aims to ensure an efficient and transparent process for authors, reviewers, and editors.
