SLACK and ISRS name Dr. James Bradley Randleman as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Refractive Surgery -

Medical publishing company SLACK Incorporated, US, and the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS), recently announced the appointment of Dr. James Bradley Randleman as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Refractive Surgery.

In his new role, Dr. Randleman will be responsible for the overall quality, integrity and content of the Journal. He will ensure that it continues to be considered a highly respected source of current, relevant and innovative content in the fields of refractive, cornea and lens-based surgery by ophthalmologists in the field worldwide.

Dr. Randleman is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Emory University. His areas of expertise include a variety of refractive surgery procedures, the management of corneal and external eye diseases, corneal transplantation and cataract surgery. Recognised as an authority on the diagnosis and management of corneal diseases, Dr. Randleman has given more than 50 hours of lectures and has authored more than 30 publications in leading ophthalmic journals.

The Journal of Refractive Surgery, currently in its 27th year of publication, is the official journal of the International Society of Refractive Surgery, a partner of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. It is a monthly peer-reviewed forum for original research, review, and evaluation of refractive and lens-based surgical procedures. Practical, clinically valuable articles provide readers with the most up-to-date information regarding advances in the field of refractive surgery.
