SLACK Incorporated, a Wyanoke Group company, has announced the promotion of Tony Schiavo to Vice President, Acquisitions, SLACK Books. In this new position, Tony will lead the strategic targeting, forecasting, acquisition, and development of new titles for all SLACK Book lines and will supervise the Acquisitions staff.
Tony joined SLACK Books as Acquisitions Editor in January 2014 and became Senior Acquisitions Editor in 2018. He has had success acquiring and developing books and has forged strong relationships with authors in diverse specialty areas including Physical Therapy, Ophthalmology, and the launch of our Special Education line.
With roots reaching back to 1923, SLACK Incorporated is a leading provider of information to targeted health care specialties. SLACK produces 15 journals in print and online and publishes more than 350 medical and allied health books.
