Society for Scholarly Publishing invites scholarly communication professionals to join its Industry Announcements and Events online discussion group -

The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) is inviting scholarly communication professionals to join its Industry Announcements and Events online discussion group. The discussion group replaces the SSP-L list-serv and is part of SSP's new C3 community platform. Announcements of conferences, events, or other resources of broad interest to the community are welcome. Press releases with newsworthy information of interest to SSP members should continue to be directed to SSP's editors for potential inclusion in SSP's various news outlets.

The online discussion group is open to the public, but users must register on the C3 platform to post messages. Users can choose to receive real-time notifications of new posts or opt for a daily or weekly email digest.

In addition to supporting the Industry Announcements and Events discussion group, C3 also supports SSP's committees, task forces and other volunteer groups. Each volunteer group has a community workspace for communicating, collaborating and sharing resources. SSP members also have exclusive access to the SSP Member Exchange where they can share ideas, ask questions, and network with their peers.

Those who wish to join the Industry Announcements and Events discussion group may register at www.c3.sspnet.org. If you already have an account on sspnet.org, you can log in with your existing user name and password. Existing SSP-L subscribers have been migrated automatically to the new platform.
