Neurophotonics, a journal published by not-for-profit publisher SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, has been accepted for inclusion in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE), part of the Web of Science.
Neurophotonics, edited by David Boas of Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, will be indexed in SCIE with coverage beginning in Volume 1, Issue 1. All content should be indexed by the end of 2016.
The journal is already included in PubMed, PubMed Central, Scopus, and several other abstracting and indexing databases.
Neurophotonics launched in 2014 and is published digitally in the SPIE Digital Library as well as in print. The journal covers advances in optical technology applicable to the study of the brain and their impact on the basic and clinical neuroscience applications.
The SPIE Digital Library contains more than 430,000 articles from SPIE journals, proceedings, and books, with approximately 18,000 new research papers added each year. Abstracts are freely searchable, and a number of journal articles are published with open access.
