Springer and International Organization for Migration partner to launch new book series -

STM publisher Springer has launched a new book series - Global Migration Issues - in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Three volumes will be published annually with the first volume scheduled for 2011. Written by academic experts and policy specialists in the field of migration and development, each separate volume will focus on a major policy issue.

Global Migration Issues will emphasise global policy challenges, such as the impact of climate change or the global economic crisis on migration. With authors from a wide range of countries, the series will include monographs, multi-authored volumes and edited volumes. Each book in the series will aim to be policy-relevant, written in a style that will appeal to both academic experts and policy-makers and practitioners.

Editor of the series is Dr. Frank Laczko, Head of Research and Publications at the International Organization for Migration in Geneva, Switzerland.
