STM publisher Springer, part of the newly formed publishing group Springer Nature, and Politecnico di Torino, Italy's oldest technical university, will partner to publish a new book series called PoliTO Springer Series. Focusing on cutting-edge research and practical applications across a wide spectrum of fields, the series will publish around 15 books a year.
The PoliTO Springer Series will cover a range of professional and academic topics in the main research areas carried out at Politecnico di Torino. These include mathematics and statistics, chemistry and physical sciences, computer science and all fields of engineering. Interdisciplinary contributions which combine these areas will also be published.
The series will consist of lecture notes, research monographs and briefs. Lectures notes are meant to provide quick information on current research advances and may be based on summer schools or intensive courses. SpringerBriefs are intended as concise summaries of up-to-date research and practical applications. All books in the series are available as eBooks on Springer's online platform www.springerlink.com and in print-to-order (PTO) format.
Established in 1859, the Politecnico di Torino has developed into an international school where traditions and future, and past and modernity are all interlinked. With over 32,000 students, it is known both in Italy and abroad as a leading institution to study engineering and architecture.
