Springer Healthcare, part of the Springer Nature group, has launched two new websites specialising in oncology and rheumatology to complement their flagship medical education platform, Medicine Matters diabetes. The three therapy-specific medical education platforms now form a family of products to support healthcare professionals worldwide. The resources offered are invaluable for professionals who are increasingly short of time and require the flexibility of free online materials and tools.
Launched in 2016, Medicine Matters provides a reliable, free source of medical education materials to promote best clinical practice and improved patient care. The digital platforms are organised according to area of therapy. Features include international advisory boards to review content, expert insights and commentaries around peer-reviewed educational content, journal article synopses, and themed collections. Comprehensive continuing medical education (CME) resources have now also been incorporated into the platforms.
Medicine Matters oncology launched to coincide with World Cancer Day on February 4, 2017. The website is organised according to tumour type or topic area so that users can easily identify the information most relevant for them.
The website rheumatology.medicinematters.com was launched in advance of the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) 2017 congress, and includes expert commentaries from this year's conference.
New features to diabetes.medicinematters.com include the launch of a US and UK version of the website and conference reporting from the Diabetes UK and American Diabetes Association® conferences.
