Springer Nature has appointed Anna Troise as President for North America, effective March 9. She will be based in the company’s New York office and will report to Steven Inchcoombe, President of Research at Springer Nature.
In this role, Troise will oversee Springer Nature’s external engagement and growth strategy for its research business in the United States. The position reflects the company’s focus on advancing the impact of research produced in the United States.
Springer Nature reports continued investment in the American market and publishes tens of thousands of articles from researchers in the United States each year. The company states that these activities contribute to the global dissemination of scientific discoveries originating in the United States.
According to the release, the United States remains a global center for scientific discovery and a major user of Springer Nature research. The appointment is intended to expand access to research and strengthen support for independent, reproducible science.
Troise has experience across publishing, education, and commercial leadership roles in both mission-driven and publicly traded organizations. Most recently, she served as Chief Commercial Officer at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), where she managed a portfolio of scholarly journals, education events, product development activities, and industry partnerships.
Earlier in her career, Troise served as Vice President of the global medical journals program at Wolters Kluwer, held senior roles at John Wiley & Sons, Inc., and worked as a publisher at Nature Publishing Group prior to its integration into Springer Nature. Troise will work with global leadership and regional teams to advance Springer Nature’s priorities in North America.
