Springer Nature launches paid internship programme for students and recent graduates -

Global education and research publisher, Springer Nature, has announced a new paid internship opportunity for students and recent graduates. The programme, called Opening Doors, aims to provide hands-on experience in research and science news publishing in Springer Nature's journals, books, or magazines. The initiative will be initially launched in the UK and US, with a second phase planned in India and China.

Successful applicants will work on real projects and learn from experienced publishing professionals for up to six months. The internship will offer training and career development, as well as an assigned buddy from one of the organization’s employee networks, who have played a central role in the creation of this programme.

Springer Nature is actively trying to address the underrepresentation of many groups and perspectives in the publishing industry, both through its internal DEI programme and external-facing diversity initiatives designed to make sure the publisher's education and research content reflects the communities they serve. This internship programme has been designed with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in mind, and applicants from all backgrounds are welcome. However, candidates from historically underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.

The internship programme is an exciting opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain valuable experience in the publishing industry while contributing to a global publishing company. The initiative also offers a chance to learn more about Springer Nature’s recruitment processes and other business areas. Applications for the programme are now open, and interested individuals can apply through Springer Nature's website.
