Springer Nature has received the Gold Award at the 2026 Excellence in Publishing, Information Technology & Communications (EPIC) Awards, presented by the Society for Scholarly Publishing. The recognition was given for its Society Partner Community Newsletter, which supports communication and collaboration across the global research community.
The EPIC Awards highlight achievements in scholarly publishing, information technology, and communications. Springer Nature’s newsletter was acknowledged for providing society partners with updates on publishing innovation, research policy, and Open Access, while fostering stronger connections across its partner network.
Launched in May 2023, the newsletter now reaches more than 900 stakeholders from 670 organizations across 48 countries. It offers expert perspectives and insights to help societies navigate the evolving publishing landscape.
Harsh Jegadeesan, Chief Publishing Officer at Springer Nature, noted that the award reflects the organization’s commitment to building a connected global partner community. He emphasized that societies play a central role in the research ecosystem by shaping disciplines and disseminating trusted knowledge, and the newsletter provides tools and insights to strengthen journals and advance research.
