Springer Nature has been selected by the Council for Australasian Tourism and Hospitality Education Inc. (CAUTHE) to publish its flagship journal, the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management (JHTM), beginning in January 2027.
The journal publishes multidisciplinary research on tourism, hospitality, events, and other sectors of the visitor economy. The move will expand Springer Nature’s coverage of these research fields and provide authors with an open access (OA) publishing option.
Mireille Yanow, director of Society and Partner Management at Springer Nature, noted that the publisher aims to support researchers and serve as a publishing partner for CAUTHE. She added that the organizations would work together to broaden access to research published in the journal.
Established in 1992, CAUTHE represents higher education providers, individual members, and researchers involved in tourism, hospitality, and events education across Australia and New Zealand.
Further information is available on the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management website and the CAUTHE website.
