The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) has announced its request for proposals (RFP) for an abstract management system to meet the organization's needs, starting in September 2023. The SSP is seeking to enter into an arrangement with a supplier that can provide abstract management services in exchange for brand promotion to influential stakeholders and potential purchasers.
The RFP invites proposals on a cost-neutral basis, offering suppliers the opportunity to showcase their products and services to scholarly publishing professionals worldwide. The selected supplier will gain visibility among SSP members and industry experts, and their contribution will be acknowledged and recognized across SSP's communication channels.
The abstract management system will play a crucial role in facilitating the submission, review, and final publication of session abstracts for the SSP Annual Meeting. The RFP outlines the desired roles, functionality, and general attributes that the system should possess. However, bidders are encouraged to suggest innovative solutions that go beyond the specified requirements.
Interested parties are invited to submit their proposals by July 22, 2023. All questions and proposals should be sent via email to Susan Patton at spatton@sspnet.org.
By implementing an advanced abstract management system, SSP aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the submission and review process for its Annual Meeting, ultimately benefiting attendees and promoting the dissemination of scholarly research.
