SSP co-sponsors GW Ethics in Publishing Conference -

The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) has announced its role as co-sponsor of the upcoming Ethics in Publishing Conference, hosted by the Master of Professional Studies in Publishing program at the George Washington (GW) University. Registration is open now for the free virtual conference to be held on October 28-30, 2020.

The theme of 2020’s conference is Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility. Topics include equity, inclusion, diversity, accessibility, sustainability, peer review, and other issues of ethics in publishing.

Presenters at 2020’s conference include Elda Rotor, Publisher of Penguin Classics; Barbara Kline Pope, Director of Johns Hopkins University Press; Peter Berkery, Executive Director of the Association of University Presses; Dr. Elizabeth Rule, Director of the AT&T Centre for Indigenous Politics and Policy at The George Washington University; and many others.

SSP is a conference co-sponsor, along with the Association of University Presses (AUPresses) and the Association of American Publishers. The conference is organised by Puja Telikicherla, Licensing and Subsidiary Rights Manager, American Psychiatric Association Publishing; and John W. Warren, Director and Associate Professor, Publishing, George Washington University.
