SSP seeks feedback on training and education needs of scholarly publishing professionals -

The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP) seeks to better understand the changing needs and preferences of professionals involved in scholarly communications as they relate to professional development and continuing education. All stakeholders in the field are invited to participate in this study by completing a brief survey.

The survey was developed by a cross-functional task force made up of representatives from various SSP committees responsible for shaping the professional development activities offered by SSP. Membership in SSP is not required for participation in the survey. This link may be shared with any colleagues who may be interested.

Participants will be asked to share their opinions on topics of interest; preferred formats; skill gaps for employees; factors that impact the decision to register and key objectives for attendance. Interested professionals can participate by visiting: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/programming-pr.

Results of the survey will be summarised and presented to the SSP Board of Directors and other SSP committees, including the Education Committee, to help shape future programming.

The questionnaire will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Identity of all participants will remain confidential. Participants may also enter an optional drawing to receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
