Information skills solutions provider Credo has announced that Sandra Hirsh, Director of San José State University's School of Library & Information Science, and Stanley Katz, Director of the Center for Arts and Cultural Policy Studies of the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University, have joined the company's corporate advisory board.
Sandra Hirsh is the 2014 president-elect and 2015 president for the American Society for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T), and serves in leadership roles for several associations, including IFLA, ALA and SLA. Prior to teaching, she worked in Silicon Valley for more than a decade at major technology companies like Hewlett Packard, Microsoft and LinkedIn. As an industry user experience researcher, leader and manager, her work influenced the development of web, mobile and TV consumer products.
Recognized with the National Humanities Medal (2011) and the annual Phi Beta Kappa Fellows Award (2010), Stanley Katz's contributions to research on American philanthropy, the relationship of civil society and constitutionalism to democracy and the relationship of the United States to the international human rights regime are unparalleled. He has served as President of the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) from 1986 to 1997 and is currently President Emeritus of the society.
