Students in Florida’s largest districts to use Cengage Learning’s NGL reading and language arts programs -

Nearly 100,000 middle and high school students in Florida will use learning materials from National Geographic Learning (NGL) when they return to school this Fall. The state's three largest school districts – Miami-Dade, Broward County and Hillsborough County – and nine other districts in the state, have adopted NGL's Inside and/or Edge reading and language arts programs.

The Miami-Dade, Broward and Hillsborough County school districts have adopted both the Inside and Edge programs for the 2014-2015 school year. Inside and Edge are core reading and language arts programs designed for readers in grades 6-8 and 9-12, respectively. Inside is designed to help students achieve success on the Language Arts Florida Standards, while Edge was created to help prepare students for college and career success using National Geographic content and authentic, multicultural literature.

NGL is an exclusive partnership between Cengage Learning and the National Geographic Society. The company believes that learning can be exciting, inspiring and transformational when students are engaged with their course materials. Many NGL products draw on the real-world accounts of National Geographic explorers, scientists, writers and photographers.
