Genome Biology, published by open access publisher BioMed Central, is now accepting Research, Method or Software manuscript submissions to be considered for publication in a special issue on "the RBPome", planned for late 2013.
Advances in genomics have vastly improved our ability to investigate the cellular landscape of RNA-binding proteins (RBPs), and have uncovered a vast territory of gene regulation previously hidden from view. In recognition of the recent interest in the 'RBPome' that has arisen from these advances, Genome Biology will publish a special issue focusing on RBPs and their binding sites in late 2013
Novel Research, Method or Software manuscripts describing insights into or developing methods for studying the RBPome, a term used to refer collectively to both RBPs themselves and RBP-recognition elements within the transcriptome, will be considered. Manuscripts will be welcome irrespective of the organism(s) or cell type(s) studied. A series of commissioned topical reviews and opinions, written by leaders in the field, will also be published in the special issue.
The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2013.
