Taylor & Francis, a global academic publisher and provider of knowledge services, has appointed Ashok Subramanian as Chief Technology Officer and member of its Executive Leadership Team.
In this role, Subramanian will lead the company’s Product and Technology functions, supporting its efforts to advance digital infrastructure and scholarly communication platforms. His appointment aligns with Taylor & Francis’s broader strategy to accelerate digital transformation across its publishing operations.
Subramanian brings over 20 years of experience in technology leadership, most recently serving as SVP, Global Head of Technology at Thoughtworks. His background spans software development, data-driven product design, Lean and Agile methodologies, and enterprise IT architecture. He previously worked with Taylor & Francis on the Cogent OA initiative.
This appointment reinforces Taylor & Francis’s ongoing focus on digital innovation and positions the company further to enhance research dissemination and academic engagement through technology.
