Academic publisher Taylor & Francis has appointed Leon Heward-Mills as Global Publishing Director, Journals, effective April 2, 2015. As Global Publishing Director, Journals, Leon will provide overall leadership for the editorial team worldwide.
Leon was previously Chief Executive of the Society for Endocrinology and Managing Director of their commercial subsidiary Bioscientifica. Prior to joining the Society in 2011, Leon held senior publishing positions at Thomas Telford Ltd and before that at Chapman & Hall.
Leon's appointment will allow long-serving Publishing Director, David Green, to focus on strategic growth initiatives within Taylor & Francis Group journals.
