Academic publisher Taylor & Francis Group has announced that it will publish the Journal for Peace and Nuclear Disarmament in partnership with the Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition, Nagasaki University, effective 2018. The journal will be its first edited in East Asia to focus on nuclear non-proliferation and disarmament, enhancing the Group's large list of International Relations, Strategic Studies and Defence Policy journals.
A fully Open Access journal, it will publish international research on nuclear disarmament, nuclear non-proliferation and arms control, crossing disciplinary boundaries in the humanities, natural and social sciences.
Through research and analysis, the Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition, Nagasaki University aims to redefine the experiences of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As a core think tank on the political and diplomatic process aimed at the de-nuclearisation of Northeast Asia, it disseminates information from Nagasaki to the world. This new English-language journal's editor-in-chief will be Fumihiko Yoshida, Vice-Director of the Research Center.
