Taylor & Francis launches Communication & Media Studies Network to enhance author experience -

Academic publisher Taylor & Francis has introduced an innovative solution to transform the often challenging experience of having an article rejected into a more positive opportunity for researchers in the field of Communication and Media Studies. This initiative, known as the Communication & Media Studies Network, aims to empower authors by providing them with tailored support to identify the most suitable journal for their research and offering a streamlined transfer service to expedite the submission process.

In academia, article rejections are an inherent part of the research journey. However, more often than not, rejections are not indicative of the research quality but rather a mismatch between the article and the chosen journal. The Communication & Media Studies Network addresses this issue by offering authors a personalized list of journals to consider as alternatives. Additionally, it offers a time-saving transfer service, enabling authors to seamlessly move their submission to the journal of their choice.

The primary objective of this network is to significantly enhance the support provided to authors whose articles have been rejected and to simplify the process of transitioning their work to alternative journals. The network, which is entirely free and optional, also serves as a valuable resource for authors to discover new journals within the Communication and Media Studies field. Importantly, the decision to transfer an article to a new journal will only be made at the request of the author, ensuring that authors retain control over the destiny of their research.

The Communication & Media Studies Network is a collaborative effort among related journals, all working together to help researchers find the perfect home for their articles. The network encompasses 54 titles spanning a wide array of subjects, including Health Communication, Intercultural Communication, Journalism, and Information and Communication Technologies.

Taylor & Francis, through its Routledge imprint, is a leading publisher of Media and Communication Studies journals and books worldwide. Routledge partners with prestigious organizations in the field, including the National Communication Association, the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre, the World Communication Association, and the International Communication Association.
