Academic publisher Taylor & Francis, UK, has announced that it will publish the journal Environmental Technology with effect from Volume 29, 2008. A monthly publication, the journal is seen as a key title in applied environmental research, covering environmental biotechnology, environmental and sanitary engineering, industrial waste management and hazardous waste disposal, air and water pollution control, solid waste management, industrial hygiene and associated technologies.
Environmental Technology will move to Taylor & Francis' InformaWorld platform. This will bring benefits including HTML versions of articles, forward citation linking and online publication of articles ahead of the print issue through iFirst. A Manuscript Central online submission and review system will also be set up for the journal, to further speed the peer review process and maximise outreach to international authors. In addition, Taylor & Francis will digitise the journal's back issues beginning Volume 1. Subscribers will now be able to access every issue online from issue 1, volume 1 through to the current issue Volume 29, issue 1.
The current Editorial policy will remain under the exclusive control of the Executive Editors, in conjunction with the Regional Editors.
