Techstreet, part of the IP Solutions business of Thomson Reuters, has announced its plan to release Techstreet ASME BPVC Plus, a new electronic version of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers' Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. The new offering includes single-user online access to PDF files through Techstreet Subscriptions, in addition to the 2010 printed loose-leaf edition.
This partnership enables ASME to offer new and innovative information solutions to better meet the needs of the global engineering community, like the Techstreet ASME BPVC Plus. The ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code is used in more than 100 countries and has been adopted by all 50 US states. It is on a three-year revision cycle; the 2010 edition was scheduled for release in July.
ASME helps the global engineering community develop solutions to real world challenges. Founded in 1880 as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME is a not-for-profit professional organisation that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing and skill development across all engineering disciplines, while promoting the vital role of the engineer in society. ASME codes and standards, publications, conferences, continuing education and professional development programs provide a foundation for advancing technical knowledge and a safer world.
