Information solutions provider Thomson Scientific, part of Thomson Corporation, US, has signed an agreement with the Accredited Standards Committee X9, Inc. - Financial Industry Standards (ASC X9). Under the deal, Thomson Scientific's Techstreet (www.techstreet.com) will be the primary distributor for ASC X9 publications in print and electronic format. ASC X9 publications can be ordered through the new online publications store at www.X9.org, operated by Techstreet.
According to ASC X9 representatives, Techstreet was chosen because of its leading position in online delivery and customer service. ASC X9 members and customers are projected to benefit from Techstreet's self-serve features and functionality, new electronic download options, free tracking alert system and web-based enterprise subscriptions. Members who visit the ASC X9 online store can search and order ASC X9 publications and related codes and standards in print and PDF formats, sign up for free document alerts and learn about subscription services. As part of the agreement, Thomson Scientific also will support the marketing of ASC X9 publications.
ASC X9 American National Standards, Technical Reports and Draft Standards includes over 70 publications covering Card and Check standards; Security standards: Paperless Contract standards: and Securities Processing and Data and Information Security standards. ASC X9 also offers the Check 21 Collection, a group of standards that facilitate Check 21 requirements.
