Thaksin University in Thailand has joined MDPI’s Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP), becoming one of MDPI’s institutional partners in the country through its Bangkok office.
Under the agreement, authors affiliated with Thaksin University will receive discounts on article processing charges (APCs) across all MDPI journals. The university will also gain access to MDPI’s online submission system (SuSy), which provides full article metadata and pricing information to support transparency and ease of use.
The partnership was formalized following discussions between MDPI’s Bangkok office and Thaksin University. It is intended to support Thai universities in open access publishing and may extend to joint initiatives such as academic events, conferences, media collaboration, and recruitment.
By participating in the IOAP, Thaksin University aims to improve the visibility and accessibility of its scholarly work while contributing to the broader adoption of open access publishing practices.
