The 2020 CRKN Virtual Conference: Access in Transition is now open for registration. 2020’s conference takes the form of a series of virtual sessions running twice a week throughout October. Interested parties can register for each day of the conference at https://www.crkn-rcdr.ca/en/conference/crkn-virtual-conference.
A pre-conference session on Intro to CRKN will be held on October 1, 2020. Registration deadline for this session is September 25, 2020. This will be followed by sessions all through the month of October.
Coordinates on how to join the sessions will be distributed to conference participants a day prior to the sessions. CRKN will be using Zoom to facilitate all of the conference sessions.
Currently, a preliminary program for the conference is available on CRKN website. A full program with finalised details will be available in mid-September 2020.
In addition to business sessions, 2020’s conference will include presentations on the theme ‘Access in Transition’ from a wide variety of members and stakeholders on topics ranging from institutional negotiation strategies to colonial frameworks in GLAM organisations. CRKN is also planning a number of exciting virtual social events and activities, including the annual Ron MacDonald Distinguished Service Award Ceremony.
Recognising budgetary challenges and a widespread desire to convene together, the CRKN Board of Directors has waived off the registration fees for the 2020 conference. As always, conference sessions will include simultaneous interpretation in English and French.
