The American Journal of Accountable Care names Dennis P. Scanlon as Editor-in-Chief -

The American Journal of Accountable Care® (AJAC) has named Dr. Dennis P. Scanlon as editor-in-chief as of the March 2019 issue.

Scanlon is a professor of health policy and administration and director of the Center for Health Care and Policy Research at Pennsylvania State University. He has been the associate editor of AJAC since 2015.

Scanlon’s research focuses on understanding the role of measurement, incentives, quality improvement, and individual and organisational behaviour change for improving important healthcare outcomes, including clinical quality, patient experience, and economic efficiency.

Scanlon has served on several national, local, and international advisory panels for organisations such as the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the National Quality Forum, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the European Commission. He has served as principal or co-investigator on a number of large research projects funded by sponsors such as the National Institutes of Health, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Commonwealth Fund. He has published more than 100 articles, book chapters, and reports and is frequently invited to speak on health policy topics.
