Digital preservation specialist Portico has announced that the American Library Association will be preserving the e-journal Library Resources & Technical Services (LRTS), the research journal of the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS), with Portico. This will ensure that these titles will be preserved and available into the future.
The American Library Association claims to be the oldest and largest library association in the world. A not-for-profit organisation, the ALA works to promote libraries and library education internationally, providing association information, news, events, and advocacy resources for members, librarians, and library users.
ALCTS is a division of the American Library Association serving acquisitions, cataloguing, metadata, collection management, continuing resources, preservation, and technical services.
