With the inclusion of the ASCB journals, over 7,400 titles have now been entrusted to the Portico archive.
Through this agreement with Portico, the ASCB seeks to ensure that its online journals collection will be preserved and available for future scholars, researchers, and students. Also, the society has agreed to make an annual financial contribution to Portico.
The American Society for Cell Biology was founded in 1960 to bring the varied facets of cell biology together. Since its founding, the ASCB has grown to more than 11,000 members throughout the US and 50 countries.
