The Helmholtz Association and the New Journal of Physics (NJP) have signed a funding agreement to cover article publication charges for all authors affiliated to any of the Helmholtz Research Centres who publish with NJP. The initial term of the agreement will extend until the end of 2011.
Co-owned by the Institute of Physics and Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft, NJP is an open-access, electronic-only journal publishing original research across the whole of physics. The journal's coverage extends across the whole of physics, encompassing pure, applied, theoretical and experimental research, as well as interdisciplinary topics
Launched in 1998, NJP's prime objective is to serve the whole physics community by providing the widest possible dissemination of peer-reviewed, cutting-edge research, and removing financial barriers for readers worldwide.
