The IET launches new open access program, IET Open -

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) has announced the launch of a new open access program, IET Open. The creation of the program underpins the IET’s commitment to supporting open science across engineering disciplines to progress research across all areas. IET Open launches with two new journals - IET Cyber-Physical Systems: Theory and Applications and Engineering Biology. The IET’s other open access journals – High Voltage, published in partnership with CEPRI, The Journal of Engineering and Healthcare Technology Letters, will also publish under the program.

The first journals to publish under IET Open are IET Cyber-Physical Systems: Theory and Applications, which focusses on topics such as control, real-time computing and system validation and emerging issues including security, privacy issues and data analytics techniques; and Engineering Biology, which focusses on the application of engineering science and practice to the design of biological devices and systems.

IET Open journals will publish under a Creative Commons license to facilitate the widest possible access to, and re-use of, essential research. The journals join The IET’s widening portfolio of research and letters journals which include renowned titles Electronics Letters and IET Power Electronics.
