The Journal of Life Sciences launches new digital edition -

The Journal of Life Sciences, a bimonthly magazine focused on science and society, has expanded its circulation to a global audience and is available for free online in a digital format at www.tjols.com. The move to publish and distribute the title exclusively via Olive Active Magazine software, announced at the 2008 BIO International Convention, will enable the one-year-old publication to broaden its audience and offerings.

The Journal of Life Sciences focuses on the space 'where science and society meet.' Founded in 2007, the Journal offers fresh analysis and commentary on the impact of biotechnology and the other bio-sciences on business, policy, and culture. The Journal is published by Burrill & Company.

The release of the June-July 2008 issue coincides with the opening of the year's biggest biotechnology gathering, BIO 2008 in San Diego, and features a Global theme. This electronic edition, which preserves the issue's colorful design and unique mix of stories, features articles on DNA-based computers, Singapore's biotech ambitions, doctors racing to catch up with consumers on genetic testing, a pharma exec turned poker ace, and why Darwin may be wrong.

The electronic version of the Journal will be distributed electronically on a bimonthly basis and will continue to focus on the broad issues and themes in the life sciences, with feature articles, metrics, and photos essays. The Journal's website, www.tjols.com, remains a daily source of insight and analysis on the latest industry developments.

The June-July issue is available at www.tjols.com/junejuly08.
