The London Book Fair takes a scholarly approach with the launch of The Faculty@LBF -

The London Book Fair (LBF) is delighted to announce a brand new academic theatre which will feature in its Academic & Scholarly zone in 2014. The theatre, called The Faculty@LBF, will be located on the show floor. The Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) is announced as official partner of The Faculty@LBF, which will also be fully supported by LBF strategic partners, The Publishers Association (The PA).

As changes in scholarly, academic and professional publishing continue apace, The Faculty@LBF will provide a forum for the academic community to share and discuss issues relevant to the sector, through a programme of session topics covering academic, scientific and professional themes. As curation partners, ALPSP will create a total of four sessions, with additional sessions co-ordinated across the wider book fair content programme by LBF, The PA and other associations, partners and LBF exhibitors. Networking slots are planned to run at the end of each day.

The seminars that will take place in The Faculty@LBF are part of LBF's Insights Programme (formerly Love Learning) which runs across the three days of the Fair, offering high level debates, panel discussions and seminars on issues and trends across the industry.

Exhibitors who would like to submit an idea for a speaking slot within The Faculty@LBF seminar programme can do so by visiting www.londonbookfair.co.uk/seminarsubmission. The deadline for entries is 5 December 2013.

The Faculty@LBF will be situated in the Academic/STM/Professional zone, situated in Earls Court 1. ALPSP members will receive a discounted Fair entrance, which will be communicated once registration goes live.
